Northumberland Balloon Festival

12–14 July, Tynedale Rugby Club (Corbridge) – A spectacle of around 25 hot-air balloons, complete with an evening Night Glow light show, music, fairground rides and food stalls. Great for all ages!

Dinky Dub Fest

26–28 July, Druridge Bay Country Park – A chilled weekend by the beach with live music, food vendors, and water sports like kayaking and paddle boarding—family-friendly and relaxed. More info here.

Tom Fool shows at Alnwick Castle

American Car Show at Bamburgh Castle

13th of July- American cars R Us (North East)  we will be hosting an American Car show exclusively in the splendid grounds of Bamburgh Castle. With a range of vehicles spanning the decades this is your chance to see some of America’s finest automobiles up close. Find out more here.

Astronomy at Kielder Observatory

Throughout July – Space-kids events like rocket building, stargazing, and night sky talks. Book ahead here!

Northumberlandia Summer Nature Celebration

5 July, Cramlington – Drop-in craft sessions, den-building, bug hunts and more in this beloved “Lady of the North” sculpture park. Free, but booking required. Ages 4+. Book here.

Heatherslaw Light Railway

All summer – A charming narrow-gauge ride through scenic countryside between Heatherslaw and Etal—fun for train-loving kiddos.

York Comedy Festival

6 July 2025, York Museum Gardens

Great Yorkshire Show

(8–11 July, Harrogate). While largely agricultural, this iconic event includes food demos, chef stages, local producers, and evening entertainment

Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival

(18–20 July, Skipton). Street food, celebrity chefs, cocktail demos, plus entertainment and music

Masham Steam Traction Engine Rally

(20–21 July, Masham). Vintage steam engines, trade stalls, crafts and hearty refreshments

North Yorkshire Moors Railway 200

Special heritage celebrations and themed trail-lines marking 200 years of rail heritage
