1-3 May – Paxton House Antiques & Decorative Fair

First Saturday in May – Berwick Riding of the Bounds
This colourful and historic tradition sees riders take to the streets and countryside around Berwick-upon-Tweed to “check the bounds” of the town, a centuries-old custom that’s fun for visitors and families alike. The procession, horses and local pageantry make for a memorable morning out.
23 May – Northumberland County Show (Bywell)
One of the region’s most anticipated annual events, the Northumberland County Show celebrates farming, food, livestock, rural life and local food producers. Expect demonstrations, competitions, family activities and a taste of traditional Northumbrian culture in a lively countryside setting.
