Paxton House Antiques & Decorative Fair

1-3rd May – Step into spring with the May Antiques Fair at Paxton House, where history and craftsmanship come alive in the lush surroundings of Berwick-upon-Tweed. With over 70 expert dealers showcasing a vast selection of fine furniture, jewellery, decorative arts, and rare collectibles, there’s something for every antique enthusiast and collector.

 Berwick Riding of the Bounds

First Saturday in May – This colourful and historic tradition sees riders take to the streets and countryside around Berwick-upon-Tweed to “check the bounds” of the town, a centuries-old custom that’s fun for visitors and families alike. The procession, horses and local pageantry make for a memorable morning out.

Northumberland County Show 

23rd May – One of the region’s most anticipated annual events, the Northumberland County Show celebrates farming, food, livestock, rural life and local food producers. Expect demonstrations, competitions, family activities and a taste of traditional Northumbrian culture in a lively countryside setting.

Bamburgh Castle 

25th May – 25th August – Find your inner knight with warrior school!

Alnwick Castle 

23rd – 25th May – Learn the historic art of falconry with Raphael’s historic falconry

26th – 29th May – Get up close and personal with live animals from Zoolab

 

Rigg and Furrow 

2nd – 3rd May – a two day celebration with Rigg and Furrow with their ‘from the land’ beer festival welcoming fermentationists and brewers for an informative and fun weekend

 

Amble Puffin Festival
